Satellite TV - Promoting the Advance of Technology

There really are a whole lot of reasons to love satellite TV: the signal quality is the best available, the channel line up is the most varied and interesting on the market, and the level of customer service simply shames even the most friendly and attentive cable company into the corner. All of these reasons are significant factors that help explain the massive migration of customers into the satellite fold, though they don't fully explain it-there is one major component lacking still. That would be the fact that satellite TV keeps customers on the cutting edge of technology, providing the most significant technological advantages and permanently remaining at the vanguard of new innovations and undertakings. Simply put, if you want to have a modern home entertainment system in your home, you need to have a satellite connection.

First of all, there is the HD factor, one which seduces basically any and all customers, because everyone is interested in watching the tube in better resolution. The situation as it stands now has satellite standing miles and miles ahead of cable, which is not proving to be satellite tv capable at incorporating more high def programming into its lineup (much less entire satellite tv strictly dedicated to airing high def content). To really be able to appreciate the high def divide between cable and satellite, it's necessary to take a quick look at some crucial numbers: most cable companies only offer a few dozen high def channels, and at best cable customers will be able to access between 60 and 70 channels in this superior viewing format; satellite, on the other hand, can offer a maximum of 130+ channels at the moment, and there is every reason to believe that that number will continue to grow at incredible speeds. Hence, not only is the sheer volume of high def programming vastly in satellite's favor, but furthermore satellite also seems to be bringing more high def channels on board at a faster rate. Really, there is no competing with that.

Next up there is the HD DVR factor. Whereas practically every cable company requires customers that would like one of these puppies to rent it out on a monthly basis at ridiculously high prices, satellite providers let their customers buy one at the moment they should choose and keep it forever, to be used as much or as little as wanted. Just another example of how satellite is offering a better deal when it comes to incorporating the latest technologies into one's home entertainment system. And, though it may sound surprising for some people, these boxes are the most revolutionary thing in the television industry to appear in the last 50 years, arguably since the advent of color TV or the beginning of digital quality signals. Speaking of which, were it not for the government-mandated upgrade to digital that took place in February of this year (2009), many cable companies would have never joined the ranks of the digital realm, while virtually any and all satellite TV providers had long since hopped aboard that bandwagon.

DIRECTV Satellite TV is America's top provider of satellite television entertainment. You'll enjoy an array of great programming for people of all ages. Check out the many great DIRECTV deals available. Why compromise and go with the local cable company?
