All of the Benefits of Satellite TV

Television viewers around satellite tv world satellite tv making the switch to satellite television systems. This is due to the fact that they deliver an "all digital" reception and some of the widest programming choices available.

In addition to movie quality picture and sound, satellite TV provides many free benefits to its millions of subscribers, and some that many current customers or consumers may not even be aware of. For instance, did you know that most satellite installers provide free services and free equipment? What this means is that they send a technician to your home or business to make certain an adequate signal will be received by the dish, and then they help you to arrange for a free installation of your totally free receivers. What do you pay for? You wait for your first invoice and pay your first monthly subscription, and nothing else! Sure, the equipment is free but it's all the bare bones basic stuff, right? Wrong! Satellite TV is able to offer free digital video recorders (DVRs) or high definition (HD) receivers through many of their ongoing rebates and special offers. Also, a family or business can get several rooms outfitted with free equipment, and also at no additional service fees or equipment costs either.

Okay, so they've given the equipment and installation away, but they're going to make up for it by slamming me with outrageous monthly fees aren't they? Absolutely not! Satellite TV is recognized for its huge menu of local channels, premiums and specialty packages at prices equal to or less than any other television system fees. It is also known as the leading provider of HD programming, including many local channels that are included in the cost of the basic or extended services.

Finally, their most basic programming provides access to hundreds of channels, on demand premiums and satellite radio stations all at no additional fees or monthly costs as well. In addition to all of this, satellite offers some popular "exclusive" programming as well, which are broadcast on stations only available through their receiver boxes. This includes everything from the Maltin Minute to the 101 Network which provides free performances, concerts and specialty programming like "Friday Night Lights" and "Supreme Court of Comedy" completely free of charge.

With everything the broadcaster gives away it would seem like they had very little left over to dedicate to customer support, but in reality satellite TV consistently receives the highest ratings in the entire television industry. In fact their customer service has won industry awards for many consecutive years and is available around the clock every single day. They do not charge for support services, and there may even be a "little something" for clients who really take advantage of their offerings. How's that? Their "green" initiatives campaign gives a one-time credit to customers who go paperless by enrolling in email updates, automatic bill pay, and paperless monthly statements. This reduces operating costs and helps eliminate waste as a way of saving the planet and also puts some much needed cash back into a customer's pocket!

Satellite TV - Promoting the Advance of Technology

There really are a whole lot of reasons to love satellite TV: the signal quality is the best available, the channel line up is the most varied and interesting on the market, and the level of customer service simply shames even the most friendly and attentive cable company into the corner. All of these reasons are significant factors that help explain the massive migration of customers into the satellite fold, though they don't fully explain it-there is one major component lacking still. That would be the fact that satellite TV keeps customers on the cutting edge of technology, providing the most significant technological advantages and permanently remaining at the vanguard of new innovations and undertakings. Simply put, if you want to have a modern home entertainment system in your home, you need to have a satellite connection.

First of all, there is the HD factor, one which seduces basically any and all customers, because everyone is interested in watching the tube in better resolution. The situation as it stands now has satellite standing miles and miles ahead of cable, which is not proving to be satellite tv capable at incorporating more high def programming into its lineup (much less entire satellite tv strictly dedicated to airing high def content). To really be able to appreciate the high def divide between cable and satellite, it's necessary to take a quick look at some crucial numbers: most cable companies only offer a few dozen high def channels, and at best cable customers will be able to access between 60 and 70 channels in this superior viewing format; satellite, on the other hand, can offer a maximum of 130+ channels at the moment, and there is every reason to believe that that number will continue to grow at incredible speeds. Hence, not only is the sheer volume of high def programming vastly in satellite's favor, but furthermore satellite also seems to be bringing more high def channels on board at a faster rate. Really, there is no competing with that.

Next up there is the HD DVR factor. Whereas practically every cable company requires customers that would like one of these puppies to rent it out on a monthly basis at ridiculously high prices, satellite providers let their customers buy one at the moment they should choose and keep it forever, to be used as much or as little as wanted. Just another example of how satellite is offering a better deal when it comes to incorporating the latest technologies into one's home entertainment system. And, though it may sound surprising for some people, these boxes are the most revolutionary thing in the television industry to appear in the last 50 years, arguably since the advent of color TV or the beginning of digital quality signals. Speaking of which, were it not for the government-mandated upgrade to digital that took place in February of this year (2009), many cable companies would have never joined the ranks of the digital realm, while virtually any and all satellite TV providers had long since hopped aboard that bandwagon.

Living the Life of a Sports Fanatic With Satellite TV

If you're like me, you simple can't get enough of sports: it doesn't matter which, satellite tv long as it's not women's synchronized swimming. Fortunately for us, 2008 has been a great year full of fantastic feats of sporting glory. As it has for me, I hope that for you too the year has proven that it was a good thing to invest in an HD screen and a satellite TV connection. No matter that your wife has had to make popcorn for 30 guys every weekend-she loves that TV almost as much as you do! Let's take a look at what were some of the finer sporting moments of 2008 then, and pray that 2009 will offer similar moments of glory.

The classic match up between the Lakers and the Celtics, so familiar to basketball fans from the 60s to the present day, was a sports nut's dream. The outcome, a total upset. This NBA final, though not as action packed as some expected it to be, was exhilarating and gave Bostonians a bit of pride back after so many frustrations. Speaking of basketball, the country as a whole got a bit of that "we invented this sport" pride back when the satellite tv Team (just the name sounded sad) fulfilled on their promise and gave the US the gold in Beijing. Good work fellas, we all needed that comfort.

Then there was the Giants winning the SuperBowl. Who would have imagined that the least likely candidate would overtake the team that had just completed the first perfect season in all of NFL's venerable history? Nobody, that's who. These boys were spectacular, and deserve the admiration of the great city they represent.

Turning to our European peers for a little sporting inspiration, nobody will be able to forget the Wimbledon final for the the ages between Nadal and Federer. Despite having risen to the stature of a God in tennis, Federer was shows to be a mere human when "Rafa" usurped the title in a 5-set victory that left every spectator with jaw agape. The intensity that these two titans brought to the court was so impressive that it wore most people out just to watch.

And while we're on the topic of victorious Spaniards, there is the unforgettable Euro Cup victory of Spain to remember. This competition was a bastion of soccer excellence, and it was great to see how the Ruskies got so far even though they never win anything in soccer. The Spaniards invested all their hopes in this title, which had eluded them for so many decades, and their team was the deserving champ.

Last but not least, we've got to honor the biggest Olympic celebrity in world history: Michael Phelps. This awkward looking young man achieved the impossible and took home eight (yes, 8!) gold-medals for his swimming prowess in the water cube. Of all the athletes competing in 2008, this man deserves more than all else the title of Sports Idol of the Year. Well done Phelps!

Hopefully you have enjoyed this year in sports as much as I have, and enjoyed the heart-pounding moments in style. Watching 20,000 Chinese people choreograph what looked like a Tetris game was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen on my HD screen, though the action on the field (or court, or pool, or what have you) was what got the blood pumping in my veins. Here's to continued enjoyment of the best sports moments out there.
